Known as the "Warbler Capital of the World," Magee Marsh attracts thousands of birders each spring. The famous Magee Marsh Boardwalk offers unparalleled views of warblers and other songbirds at eye level, often just a few feet away. It’s a must-visit spot for close-up encounters with vibrant migratory birds.
🦆 Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge (20 minutes away)
This 6,500-acre refuge is a hotspot for waterfowl, shorebirds, and raptors. With a mix of wetlands, forests, and grasslands, Ottawa offers a variety of birding experiences, including guided tram tours and auto routes during migration season. Bald eagles, herons, and sandhill cranes are commonly spotted here.
